Our local agent of 11 years retired last summer, and the office simply had no one who understood boat insurance (or customer service, for that matter!), and we absolutely needed to renew our policy. Anchor Marine Insurance was highly recommended so we contacted Dave Kauffman. Needless to say, Dave and his team got us insured (with a much better policy!), and they were even able to give us a year to get a new survey done as our previous survey was over 5 years old. We are very happy with them!

We hauled out in the Port of Port Townsend initially for a mandated insurance survey but stayed on the hard for two weeks to do some work. Our hull has a Coppercoat bottom, which washed off easily (no barnacle growth on the hull in 5 years). But our running gear needed attention. We scraped, sanded, and ground the struts, rudders, props and shafts down to bare metal. Joe and Jimmy at BUMS (who were doing work on the boats next to us) offered us great advice and use of their tools – even though we were doing everything ourselves! They were always available to answer our many questions and offered to save us money on bottom paint and prop spray. We finally were getting to the point we were running out of time, so we hired them to do the painting and spraying. They did everything they said they would, on time and on budget! (And we know it was done right…) We recommend Bottoms Up Marine Services very highly, and are hoping to have them paint our hull next winter – as we definitely want that done professionally!

We’ve used Dockside Solutions every summer for four years now. We’re typically gone 3-4 months out cruising/working. We temporarily forward our mail to a private mailbox at Dockside. They receive and scan the envelopes of all first class mail. That goes online and we log in and check what we’ve received when we get Internet. If something needs to be dealt with (bills, etc.), we instruct them to open and scan the contents. Then we pay bills online! Dockside also handles shipping and receiving of items, including parts. They can ship to wherever you are. Great service!

Great club! We’ve been members for three years now. Friendly, down to earth fellow boaters. Our two most popular and unofficial mottos are: “Until we eat again” and “We’re a barbeque club with a boating problem”!

We custom designed our boat name in PhotoShop and sent them a digital file. We received the printed vinyl name/hailing port on time. The printing was flawless, and very easy to apply by following proper procedures (we even made a “How-2 Apply Vinyl Letters” video on our site). Service was great, and the prices were more than competitive. Highly recommend!
